I recently stumbled upon some fascinating genealogy information on the Internet. Thanks to some obviously thorough and painstaking research done by John BING, I uncovered an ancestry listing on my mother's side that dates back well over 500 years to Kent, England. Not only does this information uncover some interesting ancestry previously unknown to my immediate family, but it substantiates our speculation that the BING family came from England.
From this information, we conclude that the BING name originated in England as BYNG, and was probably changed to BING when John BING and his wife Esther CRAIG moved from England to the United States of America (then the British colonies) somewhere between 1750 and 1755.
I am currently attempting to further expand upon my ancestry by researching my BARR ancestors, but am having some difficulty as no records seem to be online at this time. I'll keep this page updated as I find new information.
